 ***Reminder –  AR Test Due Wednesday, September 26.  Book needs to be worth 3 points or more to count for test grade.******

 

ELA:

Monday: Bellwork – verb review lessons 1-5, 6, 7, and 8.  

                             INBs will be used.  

                             Subject/Predicates – discuss how each sentence has two parts

                                                           use given worksheet to find the two parts in the sentence and separate. We will complete each breaking it down the the simple subject and simple predicate.

                             Add pages to their INBs. 

Tuesday:  Bellwork worksheet “types of sentences / apostrophes”

               Flocabulary:  3 lessons to finish

                                  Verbs                            **no lyric lab on the 3 verb lessons,

                                  Helping verbs                 ** make sure to use the vocabulary words in the -

                                  Irregular verbs               ** sentences, listen to video

Wednesday: Bellwork more verb review lessons 9, 11, 12, and 13

                  AR test is due

                  Plurals and apostrophes practice page 16/25 – use INB for notes

 

Thursday:  Bellwork verbs review lesson 14 and 15

                 Flocabulary:  Subject and Predicates – no lyric lab  

                 Work on any unfinished lessons if have spare time

                 Read  

Friday:  Bellwork – verbs quiz over lessons 1-15

               Test on plurals and apostrophes – wkst 17/26 – they may use notebooks and Wednesdays worksheet 

            Study Island – Verbs

            Read 

 

Reading for Pleasure:

Monday:  Read aloud together and finish Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

              Take AR test on the book for classroom grade and to help with homeroom ELA AR points.

              Study Hall time

 

Tuesday: Watch the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

              Compare and contrast the movie to the book

 

Wednesday: Read aloud to class – Restart

                  Complete Charlie and the Chocolate Factory worksheets (crossword/wordsearch)

 

Thursday: Read aloud to class – Restart

               Split class into groups – Go discussion questions and write opinions to each of the 4 questions, as a group.  

               Vote on next book to read – on own or with a partner.

 

Friday: Read aloud to class – Restart   –  Due to homecoming parade during this time we will work with what time we have to read.
